Tom Boyd spent some time with his son during a political campaign and what he saw was something we are all too familiar with. Division, hate, and conflict seemed to rule the landscape, and so Tom decided to change that. He created a story of different fairytale creatures who come together and live in harmony despite their differences. This book was later the inspiration that led to building a whole village based on the story.

This village is part boutique resort and part event venue, but a hundred percent enchanting. Bringing the story to life, you can leave the distractions of the modern world behind and instead spend quality time around the bonfire.

The Ancient Lore Village features a 40-foot, three-tiered waterfall beautifully woven into the landscape with sitting areas to enjoy the display. Every inch of the property was designed with intention and purpose to bring you into the world of these characters.

Each dwelling represents a character in the story and is filled with wonderful little details. The Fairy Cottage has little doors covering the outlets. The king-size bed has linens flowing from a golden crown lining the beautifully crafted antique door which was used as a headboard. The gorgeous fireplace has speckles of gold, making the whole room sparkle with fairy dust.
The Leprechaun Lair is fashioned with green and gold, and the speckles of gold are seen throughout each wall, giving a hypnotic flow.
In the story, Leprechaun can use their magic wands to transport back in forth between the world of man and the Ancient Lore Village. The fireplace mimics the portals used, with its swirling pattern of smooth river stones creating yet another dimension of storytelling in the village.
The purpose is to unplug, unwind, and spend time with your family and friends.
You will not find a TV in any of the rooms. Instead, you are encouraged to get outside to enjoy the simpler life. Take up a bow and practice archery, spend some time throwing axes, or take a stroll around the village; the emphasis is on a peaceful stay.
