There’s Nowhere Else On Earth With A Downtown Quite Like Collierville, Tennessee
There are myriad small, magical towns in the state of Tennessee, and sometimes it seems as if each one is just as stunning as the last. Still, when we found ourselves exploring Shelby County, Tennessee, we couldn’t get Main Street in Collierville out of our mines. Collierville’s Historic Town Square is nationally lauded and remains one of the most unique and beautiful places to visit on the west side of the state.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Let's start out by stating the obvious: Collierville is not a tiny town. It's a suburb that can be found on the outskirts of the greater Memphis area and it had a population of over 40,000 folks in the 2010 census.

The Collierville historic town square, however, makes for one of the most incredible experiences in the state. As you can see here, the downtown area lends itself well to outdoor events and community experiences.

Full of local businesses and attractions, the downtown area offers the perfect atmosphere for low-key afternoons and early morning coffee dates.

Every year the town of Collierville decorates the entire historic district with Christmas decor, which makes the square one of the most stunning spots to spent the season. The Southeast Tourism Society in 2018 even selected "Christmas in Collierville" as one of the top holiday events in the southeast.

You can enjoy brisk weather with a visit to one of Collierville's darling cafes, including the ever-lovely Zopita's on the Square.

Collierville is a friendly place for families and tourists alike with places like Raven & Lily, Square Beans Coffee, and the Silver Caboose Cafe offering delicious dining options. Make sure you wander the square and pop into small shops to hobnob with the locals. They're friendly and kind!
