The Magical Tennessee Garden That Comes Alive With Light Each Winter
Where do you go to take in the holiday lights? It’s (finally) one of the most magical times of the year, and Nashville, Tennessee is just about ready for you to come and experience the fun and joy of the season in the heart of the state. The Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is known for its beautiful grounds and exhibits, but its their holiday season that really takes the cake. Care to visit with us? The Cheekwood Botanical Gardens are known throughout the state for their expansive beauty and stunning seasonal displays. Located in Nashville and set high in the beautiful surrounding countryside, this stunning space is one you can't miss - especially during the holidays.
In late November and all through December, the grounds are filled to the brim with one MILLION lights, perfectly displayed across the gorgeous, manicured grounds.
Members have access starting November 17th, but if you're like us you'll be showing up from November 24th through December 31st, from 5pm to 10pm at night.
Cheekwood truly does provide one of the most beautiful winter walks in the entire state. Plus, the mile-long walking path is perfectly safe and illuminated by both the displays and walking nights.
This isn't just for adults, either. You'll find real reindeer on-site throughout the holiday season, as well as holiday carolers and the chance to see Santa every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, right on up to the big day.
The s'mores pits are also a plus, with kits available for purchase on the premises. No feeling the sugar rush? Buy yourself a seasonal beverage and sit by the fire, taking in the view from underneath the stunning Cheekwood mansion.
This year, there are Gingerbread Workshops in the Massey Auditorium as well, on December 6th and December 20th from 5pm to 8pm.
Ticket prices will depend on the time and day you plan to visit the lights. The event is closed on Mondays, but the rest of the week is perfect if you're looking to fall in love with Christmas all over again.
