Doesn't Broad Street On State look darling even from the front?! It's actually the oldest diner on State Street, located in the heart of downtown Bristol. In operation since the 1920s, it's also the only FW Woolworth's lunch counter, hailing from the 50s, in the Tri-Cities area.
History and good food are two things the folks at Broad Street On State are proud of, as well as good, old-fashioned customer service and a nostalgic vibe that will make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
The diner has relocated in the past, but the one thing that's stayed the same is the menu of all-American favorites and authentic southern cuisine. Here you'll find not only comfort food made from scratch, but also a slew of specialty hot dogs for folks of all ages.
Does it get any better than a homemade burger? We sure don't think so. There are also homemade soups, pulled pork BBQ, fried tacos, and cornbread every day. There's even a Blue Plate Special that offers homestyle meals on Thursdays.
