Outdoor adventure takes on many forms in the Palmetto State. And when it comes to places to stay in South Carolina, those run the gamut as well. Among them, are these unique and amazing, albeit rustic, river pods in South Carolina. These two-bed micro tiny houses are just that... beds within a unique enclosure found along the scenic Saluda River in Easley. Come along as we step inside and see why these pods are a must stay when in South Carolina!
If you're looking for unique places to stay in South Carolina, you will find a wealth of them all over the state.
One of the most popular places is The Saluda Outdoor Center, which has a variety of unique spots to spend the night. That includes some micro pods found right on the beautiful Saluda River.
The center's fabulous location puts it right in the middle of a horseshoe turn in the river.
There is a a section here filled with mini-rapids created by several shoals.
Whether you're tubing (the annual start of the season is Memorial Day Weekend)...
...or you're just coming in the off-season to enjoy some peace and quiet along the river...
These little pods are a great place to hunker down for a restful night's sleep.
They are truly among the most unique places to stay in South Carolina.
The A-frame is probably our favorite!
It's located steps from the water and the views are magnificent.
During the day you can open it up for fresh air.
Breathe it in folks. Getting out in nature in The Palmetto State doesn't get much better than this.
The Saluda Outdoor Center has other pods, too.
Each one is unique and offers a rustic ambiance with beds for only two persons.
One thing for sure is that being next to the Saluda River is a beautiful experience!
Imagine waking up at sunrise to this incredible vista!
If you're wondering about restrooms and showers, the Center has a building for that.
Two separate restrooms are available that include electricity, hot water, and shower facilities. It’s nice to have this when you’re staying in a tiny vacation rental.
The Saluda Outdoor Center offers so much more than just these tiny pods.
The facility also offers tiny homes with one or two bedrooms, a lodge, luxury "glamping," and a camp store.
The center is conveniently located just off of SC 124/Old Easley Highway.
That makes getting here easy, since it's only seven miles east of Easley and five miles west of Greenville.
These quirky and unique river pods will make you fall in love with the outdoors all over again! To learn more, visit the official website or the Facebook Page for the Saluda Outdoor Center.
