We all may love to admire the natural wonders that can be found in the Empire State, but not everyone has an interest in completely immersing themselves into Mother Nature. Allowing you to experience a remarkable getaway all without going completely off of the grid, glampgrounds are the perfect alternative to those of us who aren't ready to rough it out in the woods. So who's ready to head up north and see what magical adventures await you at Camp Orenda?
Escape away into the Adirondacks with an an outdoor adventure in the small town of Johnsburg.
Secluded away in the woods along Mill Creek, you'll find nothing but scenic beauty out here.
Each canvas cabin at Camp Orenda is located in their very own private woodland setting.
Not far from where you'll be staying you'll be able to discover true Adirondack wonders.
You'll even have a creekside pavilion that you'll be able to use for dining or simply relaxing by the water.
Camp Orenda features a total of 6 canvas cabins, with some large enough for one guest and others with a maximum capcity of four guests!
Inside you'll find a dreamy interior that you'd never be able to have inside of a tiny tent, with each canvas cabin equipped with lighting and plenty of outlets for you to use.
With some of the cabins having only one queen size bed, while others also have one or two twin size beds inside as well.
And if you're wondering how you'll stay warm? Then don't worry! Because each canvas cabin has its own electric heating stove.
Guests here will be able to use a bath house that has two unisex bathrooms, with a shared sink that allows you to still enjoy the beautiful views surrounding you through an open window. And did we forget to mention that the toilets are heated for those chillier months?
There's no need to bring your own food here either, dining at this luxury glampground is all inclusive.
Featuring their own open-air backcountry kitchen, guests can enjoy meals made with fresh ingredients from local farmers.
Meals in this beautifully rustic kitchen will be cooked using dutch ovens and over an open flame in cast iron skillets.
Giving you a one-of-a-kind Adirondack dining experience, you'll love being able to feast on meals right here at the camp.
While Camp Orenda doesn't have any alcohol to provide for you, they courage you to bring your own beverages that you can store in the wet bar's wine and beer coolers!
In the heart of the camp, you'll find the perfect place to relax and make some memorable s'mores.
With a common area that's equipped with a stone fire pit and plenty of Adirondack chairs for everyone to enjoy, you'll quickly find yourself feeling right at home in the woods.
If you do find yourself wanting to leave camp to do some more exploring? Then take full advantage of the Adirondack Mountains.
Just a quick 20-minute drive from Camp Orenda you'll be able to find the trailhead for Crane Mountain!
Crane Mountain may not be a High Peak, but this trail is one that's full of adventure and not the easiest of hikes. The 3.2-mile long loop will have you climbing up cliff ladders, over stone bridges and will even bring you by a stunning mountain ridge pond that will steal your breath away. One for the books, this mountain is a great place to visit if you're looking to venture away from camp during the day.
