It's a walkable distance to the University of Southern Mississippi, with a beautiful campus and free art museum. Guests can also walk to the Hattiesburg Zoo to see flamingoes, monkeys, wallabies, giraffes, sloths, and more fascinating animals.

Visitors can see the Town Square Park, Historic Saenger Theatre, Hattiesburg Historical Society and Museum, and African American Military History Museum in downtown Hattiesburg. Southern Prohibition Brewing, also known as Sopro, brews unique beers right in Hattiesburg. The Coney Island Café serves delicious hot dogs, burgers, breakfast, and more on Main Street. This charming southern Mississippi town has so much to see and do that is an outstanding weekend getaway!
