Did you know that you can stay the night at a lighthouse right here in Maryland? Talk about a one-of-a-kind getaway! Read on for more information on Cove Point Lighthouse and just wait until you see the living quarters...
Cove Point Lighthouse is located in Lusby, Maryland.
This historic structure nestled on Cove Point was built all the way back in 1828. It's currently the oldest continuously operating lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay.
The onsite keeper's house has been enlarged and restored several times since it was originally erected.
At one point, it was even converted into a duplex so it could house two keepers and their families. Now, you can rent one side or both for an overnight experience like no other.
Each of the sides includes three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, an updated kitchen, Wi-Fi, and a screened porch. The grounds are also fenced, including a private entrance and beach access.
Enjoy all the modern amenities of home...
...while waking up to views like this!
