There's a ton of beautiful places around the Kansas Flint Hills, but we think the cozy cabins at Flying W Ranch are perfect for enjoying what's around you. There's a wealth of beauty to see out there, as long as you are ready to see it come to life before your eyes. Two beautiful places work together to make this view one of the best in the state.
Editor's Note: As of June 2020, Flying W Ranch is permanently closed.
Welcome to the Flying W Ranch, a spot in the beautiful Tallgrass Prairie of Kansas where traditional cowboy culture and enjoying the openness of our Kansas beauty come first.
Their mini cabin and the larger lodge are oh so cozy, and overlooking the flint hills where you can hear the wind rustling through the grass for miles around. Easily the most peaceful sound around.
They have a few options to sleep, depending on what group number you're bringing. Each one of the cozy cabins or lodges makes for a perfect stay. Even if you're sleeping alone!
Of course, the best part about staying at the guest ranch is the amazing scenery. 7,000 acres of working cattle ranch never looked to beautiful. The Flint Hills is a beautiful area we cherish, and strive to take care of.
They have an amazing team of working horses for both guest and ranch activities. They can take you on a relaxing ride one day and be working to move cattle the next.
Combining the rustic homes with the amazing scenery makes this one of the most relaxing ways you can get away from it all.
Make sure to check their website for rates and availability, and see if you can plan your visit around one of their events.
For information about trail rides, events, and staying in their cabin style lodges, you'll want to check out the Flying W Ranch official website. Another great place to see more about them is the official Flying W Ranch Facebook page.
