St. Louis is a remarkable city whose splendor has captivated many, influencing them to put down roots so that they can enjoy its wonders as a resident. You will fall in love with St. Louis. Not only is affordable, but it is a charming destination with historic, architectural, and natural attractions that have the power to delight people of all ages. Whether you are spending a weekend or a lifetime in the city, you'll discover that there is a little piece of paradise within the city limits.

2. The Gateway Arch isn't the city's only impressive attraction...

You will be transfixed by the unusual architecture of The Abbey of Saint Mary and Saint Louis, and the sweet sounds of the second-oldest symphony orchestra in the country will leave you enchanted. There are notable destinations all across the city, many of which you had probably never heard of.

3. In fact, many of us have never even visited it.

You definitely should, though. It's just such a familiar part of our landscape that many St. Louisans have lived here years and never felt the desire to visit it.

4. You won't run out of things to see in St. Louis.

If you ever visit the city and feel like you've seen it all, don't be afraid to ask a local for some suggestions. We don't bite, and we know the best and the zaniest of what this great city has to offer.

We've been shaped and influenced by our crazy city, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Just don't mind some of the weird habits we've acquired along the way!

9. If you're ever in town, you should definitely catch a game or two.

The energy and camaraderie of St. Louis sports fans are incredible, and you'll find yourself rooting for the home team no matter what sporting event you choose to go see. Busch Stadium, pictured, offers incredible views of the city in addition to an unforgettable experience.

10. St. Louis is truly the gateway to the Midwestern plate.

Our topography allows us to fill up our plates with oodles of local produce, and our local culture has perfected favorites like Provel cheese and toasted ravioli. If St. Louisan comfort food isn't your thing (which we honestly will judge you for), you're bound to love our authentic ethnic eateries. No matter what you decide to snack on, there's a local brew that it'll pair perfectly with.

11. There's a whole lot of heart in St. Louis.

The Gateway City consistently ranks as one of the most charitable in the country, and you won't be so surprised when you meet the locals. Some remarkable people call this city home, and upon your arrival, you'll find that they make it a truly special place to be.
