If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're most likely from Kansas (and are my kind of guy/gal)! Here are 10 terms that only a true Kansan would know and understand.
1) Phog
You better pay heed and beware.. (Can I get a *whoop whoop* from all my KU fans?!)
2) LFK
Lawrence Effin' Kansas -- the oasis of eastern Kansas!
3) Spangles
"It just tastes better!"
4) Cozy (Burger)
..but not quite as good as a Cozy burger (Word to the wise: order outside unless you want to smell like delicious burgers for the rest of the month!)
5) Crick
To out-of-towners, it's a stiff neck; here, it's a small body of water.
6) Slippery Slide
Not all slides are created equal (trust me; I have gone down a few not so slippery slides in my day.)
7) Border Wars
Muck Fizzou (though this no longer relevant as Missouri has left the Big 12.. *cough* PANSIES *cough*!)
8) EMAW
Every Man a Wildcat, yo!
9) Arrowhead
To you, it may be a well-chiseled, sharped rock, but to us? It's home to our beloved KC Chiefs!
10) Lightening Bug
Owl City's song would have been SO much better had he used the correct term ("You would not believe your eyes, if ten million lightening bugs..")!
