This 21st century world we live in likes to promote activity, fitness, and all kinds of entertainment to saturate our minds with color and sound. Sometimes, though, we Arkansas natives like to slow down the pace a little bit and enjoy the old-school fun that our parents and grandparents had at the bowling alley, skating rink, or drive-in theater. Thankfully these locations are still available to us!

12. Holiday Bowl

Skating rinks are definitely a beloved retro activity. Holiday Bowl, located at 3408 North State Line Avenue in Texarkana, has a number of fun events to enjoy like the 7-10 Split Night on Mondays and Late Night Rock & Bowl on weekends.

11. Crystal Palace Skating Rink

Located in Fort Smith at 3000 South 70th Street, Crystal Palace is a huge skating rink that's popular with local kids; skating may be retro but it never goes out of style with the young crowd!

10. Stone Drive In Theater

One of three remaining drive-in movie theaters in Arkansas, Stone Drive In Theater located in Mountain View, has been in operation since the 1960s, and continues to screen new releases.

9. Kenda Drive In

The Kenda Drive In, located in Marshall, was established circa 1965 and still runs weekend double features on a 72-foot screen. Customers will love the old-school drive in speakers!

8. 112 Drive In

Open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only, this Fayetteville drive-in is so retro that they remain a cash-only operation, but you'll still love the weekend double features and the classic concession stand fare!

7. Great Day Skate Place

This Bentonville skating rink at 1615 Moberly Lane features a variety of Monday night specials and has been offering "Skatercise" classes each morning all through the month of September.

6. Starlight Skatium

Considered one of the best skating rinks in northwest Arkansas, Starlight Skatium in Fayetteville (located at 612 College Avenue) has a great snack bar, a good crowd, and awesome events like All-Night Skating and glow parties.

5. Wheels in Motion

This Van Buren rink is the second-largest in Arkansas, and many locals have fond childhood memories of skate parties here. Wheels in Motion still has that old-school feel but has recently added trampolines, a rock climbing wall, and more activities for visitors to get hyped about!

4. Jack's Fort Smith Skateland

Very popular with Fort Smith's locals, Jack's Skateland is a definite must-visit for the family when you're looking for a great place to take the kids to burn off some of that extra energy! People of all ages enjoy it here, and now a "Tiny Tot" skate session is offered where 10 year olds and younger have the rink all to themselves!

3. Conway Family Bowling Center

Serving Conway for over 50 years, Conway Family Bowl - located at 1010 East Oak Street - has 24 lanes for you and your friends or loved ones (or even your league) to have fun! Conway Family Bowl has a variety of special events to enjoy as well, such as Extreme Glow Bowl and Quartermania, a retro night where a Nifty Fifties menu is served.

2. Allfam Bowling

Going out for a night of bowling with the boys, the girls, or the family has become a part of American culture. Allfam Bowling & Entertainment, located at 2350 Lakewood Drive in Cabot, features not only a large 32-lane bowling alley but also delicious food and a huge arcade.

1. Central Lanes

24 lanes of excitement and good times are here in the Spa City at Central Lanes! Having served the Hot Springs area since 1960, Central Lanes is at 3917 Central Avenue and is open daily throughout the year. Wifi is also now available here as well!
