Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is a lovely place in all seasons of the year. If you happen to visit in the fall, take a hike from Harvey Moore to Penny Pines via Noble Canyon Trail for a look at some pretty fall foliage.
To see the well-known Cuyamaca Peak, head to the mountain via Azalea Glen Loop. There are incredible photo opportunities from the bottom of the mountain to the very top.
Stonewall Peak is a beautiful mountain as well. You can take the Stonewall Creek Loop to really enjoy the sights. Meander the trails here at sunset to get an incredible panoramic view of the pastel clouds in the sky. It’s the perfect way to end your day before you settle into the campsite for the night.
Camp at Green Valley Camping and Picnic Area, Paso Picacho Campground, or if you’re a fan of horses, head to Los Vaqueros Equestrian Group Camp. You can even ride on the trails for a breathtaking experience you and your horse will get to enjoy together.
