Let’s face it, we are quite spoiled living in Southern California. From the glorious weather to our award-winning restaurants and everything else in between, it’s hard to adjust to life outside of SoCal once you’ve experienced this slice of heaven on earth. Once you’ve lived here, it’s pretty hard to live anywhere else.

1. The variety of scenery makes life in Southern California quite special. We have inlets, canals, and lakes which provide excellent places for boating and viewing wildlife.

2. We are lucky to have access to so many magnificent white-sand beaches that stretch for miles down the coast. The waves also make SoCal a world-class place to surf.

3. There are three beautiful deserts, the Mojave, Colorado, and Great Basin, each home to a variety of vegetation and animals.

4. There's an abundance of mountain ranges, all within a relatively short drive. During certain times of the year, you can go surfing in the morning and then head to the mountains to go skiing or snowboarding, all on the same day!

5. Charming small towns are hidden in unexpected corners around this part of the Golden State.

6. A bustling city life ensures there is always something to do at any time of day (or night).

7. There is so much to see, from beaches to city to mountains, all within a short drive from home.

8. Even if you haven't been for a while, it's nice to know you can hop in your car and head to Disneyland anytime you want. It is the Happiest Place on Earth, after all!

9. Where else will you find so many delicious and memorable restaurants right on the water? There's nothing better than dining with a water view.

10. Be prepared to be disappointed with Mexican food in other parts of the country after you've had the good stuff here in SoCal. We have some of the best Mexican restaurants in the country here.

11. And good luck finding fresh avocado outside of Southern California.

12. The fish tacos are the best you'll ever have outside of Mexico.

13. A SoCal sunset is so stunning that you'll be hard-pressed to find a better one anywhere else.

14. And after experiencing a SoCal sunrise you'll realize that this a place you'll want to stay forever.

15. Outside of Southern California you have to trade in your shorts and flip flops for winter boots and a snow shovel.

16. Where else can you hang out at the beach barefoot in the winter? Life in Southern California can't be beat!
