What are the best day trips in Southern California?

Southern California is an expansive region that’s known for being easily traversed and expansive fun. If you’re looking to take a day trip or maybe even head out on a weekend getaway, there’s nothing like LA County’s South Bay beaches, or maybe even a trip to the coastal town of Santa Barbara. Head to Laguna Beach for some phenomenal photo opportunities, and La Jolla is also a great place to go. Death Valley National Park is UNREAL, and Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve is a fabulous spot to experience when the flowers are in full bloom.

What places in Southern California should I see before I die?

If you’re looking for a bit of old school magic, head to the famed Hollywood Forever Cemetery or the Westwood Cemetery to pay your respects to the likes of Donna Reed and Marilyn Monroe. Coronado Island will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, and there’s really nothing like walking Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills a la Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman.”

What are the most unique parks in Southern California?

The question really is what park is NOT unique in SoCal. Death Valley National Park is pretty unreal with its lonely landscape, and the unique botanical wildlife in Joshua Tree National Park is also a must-visit. Head to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreational Area for outdoor picnicking and hiking, or maybe wander to the Mojave National Reserve for a bit more fun in the SoCal desert.
