If you’re heading out on a family trip from San Diego to Palm Springs for a getaway to the popular desert destination, you’re definitely going to want to stop halfway to check out Menifee. Located on 215 halfway between San Diego and Palm Springs, Menifee has lots to offer.
Located in Southwest Riverside County, this exciting town is great for up-and-coming business professionals and young families. They are investing heavily in their infrastructure and their town improvement, so it just keeps getting better.
It’s a young city, with a median age of 36 years. There is a lot of development happening in Menifee with new shops, restaurants, and entertainment options opening up all the time! There will be plenty of places for you to enjoy a great meal and a nice stroll through the neighborhoods.
Nova Park in Menifee is great fun for kids, with educational opportunities all over the place and interactive displays. Take a walk through the park to show them fun facts and get some exercise together.
In 2021, the park got major upgrades, including a new walking path, trail activities, lights for evening park-goers, and a playground that’s perfect for young children. It now has equipment that is twice the size of the structure that was there previously!
If you’re a fan of hiking, you’ll find excellent choices for a daytime hike in Menifee. A nice and easy loop is Freedom Crest Trail. It typically takes about an hour and a half and is 2.9 miles long.
If you’re there during the winter months, you’ll see that Menifee definitely has the holiday spirit. Mt. San Jacinto College’s Menifee campus has a sweet Christmas tree that lights up the night, and the town celebrates Hanukkah with a large menorah, too.
