The holiday season is nearly upon us. And do you know what that means? Christmas lights! To get into the spirit of the season, here are ten stunning Christmas light displays that you will definitely want to see as you savor the magic of the season. Here are ten of our favorite spots. 1. Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
From December 14 to December 18, Newport Beach is glowing with holiday spirit during the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. This annual event is free and can be viewed at nearby outlook points or restaurants along the harbor in Newport Beach.
2. Christmas Tree Lane -- Altadena
There's nothing like a drive through this section of Altadena where Christmas magic comes to life in the towering trees of the neighborhood. Approximately three blocks long, this festive lane in San Gabriel Valley is a holiday tradition not to be missed.
3. December Nights -- San Diego
An annual tradition in Balboa Park, December Nights lights up the entire park with a holiday extravaganza of lights that will get you in the spirit in no time. December nights is held on Dec 2 -3 from 3-11pm inside Balboa Park in San Diego.
4. Wakefield Winter Wonderland - Saugus
For a residential tour of Christmas lights, nothing beats the beautifully decorated homes along Wakefield Court in Saugus. Each and every display is unique and festive and quite the sight to see. You can tour the lights by car or on foot off Copperhill Drive via Courtland Way.
5. Historic Mission Inn Festival of Lights -- Riverside
Now in its 24th year, this historic hotel in Riverside goes all out with a holiday light display that is unlike anything you've ever seen. With 4.5 million lights illuminating the Historic Mission Inn, this festival of lights is pure magic. This holiday event can be experienced through January 7, 2017.
6. Downtown LA Walking Tour
Downtown Los Angeles Walking Tours will take you on a magical stroll of the city all aglow in holiday lights. Tickets are $15 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Tours are two-hours long and include stops at some of the most famous and well-known buildings in Los Angeles to see them all dressed up for the season.
7. San Diego Bay Parade of Lights
This dazzling display of holiday lights is coming to San Diego on Dec 11 and Dec 18 along the San Diego bayfront. Boats will be decked out in their best holiday lights as they float along the bay in this annual holiday festival now in its 45th year.
8. Disneyland -- Anaheim

10. LA Zoo Lights -- Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Garden turns into a winter wonderland of christmas lights throughout the holiday season at this spectacular annual event. Make sure not to miss this event that runs through January 8. Tickets start at $9.
