Avocados may have only become trendy in recent years but they’ve been a Golden State icon for generations. Taking place in the town that calls itself “The Avocado Capital of the World”, you’re in for a fun-filled day when you attend this popular event that features local vendors, artists, and all of the avocado-based foods you could possibly enjoy. Mark your calendar for this year’s Avocado Festival: April 24, 2022!
Slightly hidden among rolling hills and lush groves, Fallbrook is a gem of a town in San Diego County. Claiming to be "The Avocado Capital of the World", the town's annual Avocado Festival draws large crowds from all over the state.
That's right; this festival is completely devoted to the avocado. Deemed California's official state fruit in 2013, the avocado represents the Golden State's strong ties to agriculture. It's also just an awesome fruit that goes with just about everything!
This year's event is scheduled for April 24, 2022. The festival will take place along Fallbrook's Main Street from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free and families are welcome!
The annual festival is a way to celebrate the region's rich heritage and make some amazing memories while doing it. Events like the Guacamole Contest, Holy Guaca-Moly booths, and the Art of the Avocado Contest are all beloved traditions among locals and visitors alike.
Spend the day exploring the different booths, watching the performances at the Community Stage, and enjoying all of the avocado-inspired dishes you can stomach. There's something for everyone at this fun-filled event.
Use your time in Fallbrook to check out the community's other venues, such as the Fallbrook Historical Museum, Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Museum, and the Historic Caboose at Main and Elder Street.
