Your Tastebuds Will Go Crazy For This Amazing Taco Trail In South Dakota
Tacos are quite possibly the perfect food. They’re portable, flavorful and filling. South Dakota has plenty of chain restaurants that serve some tasty tacos (hello, Taco John’s!), but we have a soft spot in our hearts for little local places. Take a look at our Taco Trail, which takes you from the southeast corner of the state all the way to Custer.
The Taco Trail goes all the way across the state. There are some big gaps along the way, and to be honest, in those towns you’ll often find a Taco John’s. This huge, national chain is often all a small South Dakota town can support, and the tacos are perfectly fine. If you just can’t make it between towns without stopping for a taco, we give you permission to get an order of street tacos and potato olés.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
How many of these tasty taco restaurants have you already checked off your list? Which of your favorites would you add to the trail?
