Whether you grew up in South Dakota or you recently moved here, you already know that our state has so much to be proud of. From the scenery to the people to the appreciation of history and culture, there really is no better place to live. While we know there are endless things to take pride in, we made a list of just a few of those beloved treasures. Here are some reasons why people in South Dakota should always be thankful for and proud of their state.

In Huron, the World's Largest Pheasant statue stands. It is a monument to our love for South Dakota wildlife and our love for hunting.
With all the rivers and lakes that we have in the state, we actually have more shoreline than the state of Florida. It definitely comes in handy during those summer months we all love to spend on the water.

South Dakota is lucky to have cutting edge medical care. Having resources like that close to home is something we take comfort and pride in.
