It’s a special and unbeatable experience to grow up in South Dakota. If you grew up here, you know that to be true. You also probably know everything on this list to be true as well. These undeniable ways you know you’re from South Dakota will have you smiling.
1. Traffic is being stuck behind a tractor.
2. You never lock your doors and you don't think twice about it.
3. You know SDSU ice cream is the best ice cream.
4. When someone asks you how far away something else, you tell them the distance in time instead of miles.
5. You absolutely love a good summer thunderstorm and you probably sit out on the porch and watch the lightning.
6. Camouflage is acceptable attire no matter what the occasion.
7. You love seeing people from South Dakota make it big.
8. You can't wait for those summertime only restaurants to open up!
