- Evans Plunge, Hot Springs, SD: This unique hot springs water park has four pools to enjoy with water slides, swing rings, water basketball, and volleyball - each naturally heated to around 87 degrees. This historic hot spring has been relieving stress with its healing waters since the 1800s. It was even a source of drinking water for South Dakota's forest residents until it became a recreation area in the late 1800s. They probably didn't have the cool water slides back then though.
- Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa, Hot Springs, SD: If you are ready to take your relaxation to a whole new level, visit this mineral springs resort. With four pools ranging from 88 to 102 degrees that emanate from Moccasin Springs, you have plenty of options. The spa also offers overnight accommodations, massages, yoga classes, and a delightfully delicious restaurant. A fascinating thing about Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa is that they incorporated the ruins of the historic Hot Springs Hotel that used to be on the site.
- Kidney Springs Park, Hot Springs, SD: Another gem in Hot Springs, SD is found along the north side of the Fall River Freedom Trail. Unlike many of the other hot springs in the area, Kidney Springs doesn't have a pool to soak in. Instead, it is a popular source of drinking water because of the healthy mineral content that has long been thought to have healing properties. While it may not be the Fountain of Youth that legends speak of, it is a great source of mineral-rich water.
