You can take the person out of SD but you can’t take the SD out of a person. Near or far, South Dakota is one of those places that just sticks with you. So even if you’ve moved away, we know you’ll be back. These are 15 reasons my heart will forever be in South Dakota (and yours should be too).

3. The fresh, unpolluted air is so refreshing.

5. There is always an adventure waiting to be had.
6. South Dakota has the best thunderstorms.
7. We also have the best fall colors.
8. The people here are kind, loving and loyal.
9. The prairies, hills or badlands are never far away.
10. Country road drives are unbeatable on a sunny day.
11. The natural beauty of South Dakota is unlike anywhere else.
12. You can always find solitude, if you want it.
13. In South Dakota, you're always running into someone you know (or wish you knew).
14. Having the option of living in a small town, city or in the country is priceless.
15. Plus, SD is the best because it is such a safe place to live and the people are so nice and helpful.
