If you are a lover of all things paranormal, it may seem like Halloween is a lifetime away and you may be searching for something else creepy to explore in the meantime. If this sounds like you, make your reservations now to stay in this 123-year-old hotel that is one of the most haunted places in South Dakota:
Located in the most haunted town in South Dakota (Deadwood) is the most haunted place to stay in the state, which is that of the Bullock Hotel.
Opened in 1896, the Bullock is a beautiful hotel that has hosted guests from both near and far in its 123 years and boasts such amenities as a casino and restaurant.
After it was sold in the 1970s, the Bullock was converted into a hardware store but was thankfully re-sold and renovated back into its original state in the 1990s.
While 35 of the rooms had to be completely re-done, the Bullock still houses 28 of its original rooms.
With a history so vast and colorful, it should come as no surprise that the Bullock is plagued by the paranormal, namely that of its original owner — who died in 1919 — still keeping tabs on the place.
Hotel employees and guests alike have reported not only seeing the ghost of Seth Bullock (pictured) roaming the halls but have also felt his touch and heard his voice.
To get a better look at the Bullock Hotel and the spirit of Seth Bullock, the public is invited to take a nightly ghost tour of the property, which costs $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and under.
Don't forget to bring your camera as you never know who or what you will find in your pictures!
In addition to taking the ghost tour, you can stay the night in the Bullock Hotel, which offers everything from deluxe rooms to jacuzzi suites.
