Wylie Park covers 210 acres in Aberdeen, and it's absolutely beautiful. With a lake, two amusement parks and tons of outdoor recreation opportunities, you're going to want to plan a visit here this summer. You'll find the park at 225 S.E. Third Ave., Aberdeen, SD 57401.
Storybook Land is the most well-known part of this park, where families have been making memories since the 1970s. It's open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Step into a magical wonderland with a Medieval castle, small roller coaster and tons of other rides suitable for small children, including the historic Allan Herschell carousel. The best part about Storybook Land? Admission is free!
...and see how long you can survive in a game of Laser Tag. Pay for each attraction individually, or save money with a wristband and have all the fun you can pack into 24 hours.
You'll also find several playgrounds, picnic grounds, a softball diamond, volleyball courts, and horseshoes. You can even rent bikes, canoes, kayaks and inline skates here.
There's so much to see and do at Wylie Park, that you might want to stay overnight to extend your fun. The Wylie Park Campground offers cozy little cabins and 138 campsites.
