These 9 Unique Coffee Shops In South Dakota Are Perfect To Wake You Up
Coffee is my favorite part of the day and these amazing coffee shops in South Dakota are my favorite in the state. Each one is so unique!

We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! 1. Coffea Roasterie in Sioux Falls
Serving up specialty drinks to the Sioux Falls area, this coffee shop is definitely one of the best around. Coffea is best known for its committed approach to making great coffee and specialty drinks using the best brewing methods. Stop by and try their new lavender latte - and be sure to try to the butterscotch latte available exclusively during fall.
2. Sturgis Coffee
Great customer service and even better coffee are just a few things Sturgis Coffee has to offer. If you don't live close, you still need to try this coffee. You can order it by mail and have it delivered to your door.
3. Queen City Bakery in Sioux Falls
Go here and order "The Best Drink Ever." Yes, that is the actual name of the drink and it is actually the best. Besides great coffee drinks, Queen City is known and loved for their unbeatable baked goods.
4. The 1881 Bank Coffee House in Custer
As in most of South Dakota, the service here is second to none which means great people serving great coffee. Especially unique, this building is a bank turned coffee shop. The original bank was First National Bank of Dakota and it was established in 1881, giving perfect inspiration for the shop's name.
5. Laura's Lattes in Canton
This coffee shop is focused on bringing people together in community around a cup of coffee. It also is unique in that Laura is a 2012 high school graduate with Down syndrome. Her goal in working full time at the shop is to show that those with disabilities aren't as limited as most people believe. Laura's Lattes is truly a gem in this small SD town.
6. Annie Lode Coffee Cabin in Hill City
Locals love Annie Lode. That's how you know it's the best around. Stop in to this adorable coffee cabin for great service, great coffee, and an unbeatable breakfast burrito.
7. Cottonwood Coffee and Cottonwood Bistro in Brookings
Whether you are stopping in for an iced chai or a cuban latte, this is the best place to get coffee in all of Brookings. This is the perfect stop as you travel on I29 across the state.
8. Mochavino in Madison
This eclectic shop is locally owned and serves up some fantastic drinks. Stop in for morning cup of coffee and come back for lunch to try the wine and their infamous Ultimate Grilled Mac and Cheese.
9. LaDelle and Fourth Coffeehouse in Dell Rapids
This adorable coffee shop is filled with charm, great service and of course, amazing coffee. They also serve homemade soups and pies. It doesn't get any better than this.
