Cascade Falls is named because of the gently cascading falls that empty into the swimming hole here. Six warm springs upstream add their 67-degree water to Cascade Creek, which keeps it a nice, warm temperature.
The warm, clear water is the perfect place to play on a summer day. Wander up or downstream to find varying depths of water - perfect for everyone in your group.
But if you're ready to swim, this spot is a great place to cool off, without dipping into the freezing cold water you'll find in other creeks and rivers.
You will likely find poison ivy along the banks. Rattlesnakes are often attracted to the area, so take care. If the swimming hole is very busy, it's unlikely that you'll run across them, but pay attention where you're stepping just in case.
