The Charming Little South Dakota Rest Stop That’s So Worth A Visit

The drive along I-90 from Sioux Falls to Rapid City takes about five hours, and if you’re making the trek across the state, you’re going to need a rest break or two. Here’s an epic rest stop that you should definitely put on your itinerary.

It's located in Oacoma, which is just west of the Missouri River, along Interstate 90. The address is 1000 E. South Dakota Highway 16, Oacoma, SD 57365.
The family that built this business started with a small grocery store in 1919, and expanded from there.

Today, the rest stop includes a full-service restaurant, grocery store and several gift and clothing shops.

This 17,000-square-foot grocery store has just about anything you'd ever need for snacking, and you can even pick up what you need for camping when you reach your destination.
