It’s easy to live in South Dakota and start taking its natural beauty for granted. The Missouri River is the longest river in the entire country, and it meanders all the way through our state. Along the river, you’ll find four lakes and dams, many towns and tons of beautiful parks along the banks. Locals define our state as “East Missouri” and “West Missouri,” and the river truly serves as a sort of boundary between the two unique parts of South Dakota.
