You’ll find this itty-bitty, unique town 22 miles west of Murdo, directly off Interstate 90 at exit 170.
In 1972, the first attraction was built: The Conoco Convenience Store. Later, after the purchase of an additional 80 acres, historical buildings and displays were brought in from original South Dakota towns, and a main street was created.
This 1880 town provides entertainment for the whole family. Explore more than 30 historic buildings from the 1880 to 1920 era that are full of photographs, historical accounts and artifacts from the past.
Walk through the Casey Tibbs museum and view a tribute to the 9-time World Champion Rodeo. You’ll find one of his saddles, buckles, hats, jackets, photographs, and even personal possessions of the iconic cowboy.
There’s also plenty of live entertainment to go around too! From the talented Jeff Kline on the piano to wagon rides, Wild Bill rope tricks, and a fantastic comedy show. There’s amusement and fun to be had at every turn.
This original Santa Fe Train was converted into a diner. Sit in the railroad dining car, enjoy a breakfast or lunch special, and check out the intriguing memorabilia. It may seem a bit out of place, but it’s definitely a must-stop during your visit!
