Hike Through This Botanical Garden To The Intracoastal Waterway On A 2.4-Mile Coastal Trail In South Carolina
Even in the heat of the summer, it’s possible to enjoy an early morning or late evening hike without melting underneath the summer sun in the height of the midday sweltering fever. For a wonderful hiking adventure along the coast, head to Vereen Memorial Gardens in Little River and hit the Vereen Memorial Gardens Loop Trail.

Over behind the CB Berry Community Center at the entrance to the property, you'll find an unpaved segment of the oldest road in America, the Kings Highway, which was a colonial route that connected Boston to Charleston.

Learn more about the Vereen Memorial Gardens Loop Trail from our friends at AllTrails.com. The gardens are open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free. Learn more, here.
