You’ll Never Forget A Visit To Split Creek Farm, A One-Of-A-Kind Farm Filled With Baby Goats In South Carolina

Animal lovers rejoice! South Carolina has a large population of different farms with different purposes. Some are for meat, some for dairy, and others for fruits or veggies. Did you know, though, that there’s a South Carolina farm that’s literally full of goats – and you can visit them!

Split Creek Farm is a beautiful goat farm located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The farm is owned by two local women who strongly believe that happy, healthy goats produce the best milk, which in turn makes the very best cheese.
We're inclined to believe it; Split Creek Farm has some of the highest-rated (and oft-awarded!) goat cheese and other goat-milk-based products in the state, if not the nation.

Currently, there are about 350 goats on the property, and they're some of the happiest, cutest little guys you could ever meet.
The owners, Sandra and Jessica, make sure to give each and every goat love and attention every single day. It makes a noticeable difference!

One can tell just how healthy and happy the animals are by browsing their website, or their Facebook page, for photos. Beware: these goats are so cute that you might explode.
The majority of the herd is mostly made up of Nubian goats. Nubian goats may be the oldest goat breeds on earth!

They're fairly small, intelligent and absolutely precious little creatures. When given as beautiful and happy a life as the goats of Split Creek Farm are, they reward their keepers (and visitors like us!) with affection and friendliness as well as top-notch dairy.
About half of the herd is milked twice a day; hormones are absolutely never used to induce breeding or for milk production. They keep it all-natural here.

The farm started small in 1985. They began producing hand-crafted artisan goat cheeses in 1988, and ever since, they're been growing slowly but steadily.
They started with just three goats; eventually, their herd naturally expanded, and at one point they had 750 goats on the farm!

Today, they offer tours for curious guests (and goat lovers!) where visitors are able to tour the facility and learn about it, browse the farm's shop, and, of course, pet and adore the goats. We're not sure which is better- loving on these little goats, or the insane goat-milk-made fudge available in the shop. It's that good.
The goats of Split Creek Farm have won numerous awards and are of the highest grade available. They have been recognized, and awarded, nationally.

It really goes to show that beloved animals who are treated with respect and adoration will absolutely produce superior-grade deliciousness on a regular basis. They are loved, and it absolutely shows!
