Beaufort is widely admired for being among the most beautiful towns in the state. Located on Port Royal Island, Beaufort is the second oldest town in South Carolina and is quintessentially Southern. Among the most Southern of things beloved by visitors and residents alike is the enchanting Spanish moss found swaying in the old oak trees that fill the town and surrounds.

The Spanish Moss Trail is 12 feet wide, paved and open from dawn to dusk. There are two restroom facilites located on the corridor. You may bring your pet as long as he/she is on a leash. The trail has 14 access points, six of which have parking available. Find out more on their official website.
