There’s Nothing Hotter Than South Carolina’s World’s Hottest Pepper!

In Fort Mill, SC there is a business known as the PuckerButt Pepper Company owned by Ed Currie. This genius of  a man, after many years, has developed the world’s hottest pepper and it is recognized by Guinness World Records since 2015. On the Scoville Scale, this pepper averages 1,569,300 and can have peak levels of up to 2,200,00. If this is reading like Greek to you, let me tell you this for comparison: The jalapeno is 2,500 to 5,000 on the Scoville Scale. Yes, I can already see that information dawning on your face. This is an extremely hot pepper, my friend.

And, if that is not enough for you…I’ve got videos of what this pepper can do for you.

Have you ever seen anyone try to eat one of these things? Did you believe it was possible. Personally, I didn’t think that it was possible to eat such a pepper and if so, I really didn’t think anyone would want to. Obviously, I was wrong…really, really, wrong.

See guys, don’t feel bad if you can’t take the heat here in South Carolina, seems like Texas is having bit of a problem as well. This pepper is absolutely no joke and I’m sure that there will come a time that it will have uses other than making me laugh because people try this pepper.
