This Interactive Children’s Museum In South Carolina Is Fun For The Whole Family

The Palmetto State is home to many museums, but you won’t find another quite like The Sandbox. This hands-on place to learn and play is an interactive museum in the Lowcountry where even adults have a blast. Designed for toddlers and elementary school-aged children, the activities here provide hours and hours of fun. Don’t be surprised if your kids/grand kids don’t want to leave when it’s time to go.

The Sandbox Interactive Children’s Museum is located at 18A Pope Ave., Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. Activities are for toddlers and elementary school-aged children. It’s open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but the days of the week vary by season. January – March, May, September-December it’s open Tuesday through Saturday. During April, June, and August it’s open Monday through Saturday. Closed on Sunday.
