South Carolina's most visited outdoor attraction is a stunning sight in every season. Live Oak Alley leads to several individual gardens, each adorned with blooming color and sculptures by American artist Anna Hyatt Huntington. This more than 9,000-acre plantation has special events throughout the year, including a holiday event with 5,000 hand-lit candles.

Whatever you're seeking in the way of watersports, you're likely to find it here in Murrells Inlet. From parasailing to kayak rentals, jet ski and boat rentals, pleasure cruise charters and fishing charters, this little community has it.
Not only is there a beach... but it's much less crowded than the public beaches to the north. Huntington Beach State Park is located across Highway 17 from Brookgreen Gardens and offers hiking trails, camping, and hours upon hours of nothing but soaking in the sun and enjoying the salty cool breeze of the Atlantic.
Naturally, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants in Murrells Inlet that aren't on the water... but if it's waterfront dining that you seek, then you'll find plenty of it here with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Although never housing a real king or queen, the preserved ruins of Atalaya Castle, located inside Huntington Beach State Park, are worthy of a visit. Located right on the beach, it was once the working studio of Anna Hyatt Huntington.
