Aside from the sign at the entrance to the driveway, the KOA is a hidden gem to those traveling on busy Highway 17. You'd never know all that's behind that treeline. Take a look:

For a nominal fee, you can rent a canoe, kayak or paddle boat to explore the lake for a few hours. The fishing is pretty good too! (But don't set your sights on catching dinner, all fish here are catch and release only.)
Whether your tastes are for the rustic variety with no bathroom or kitchen — or you desire something a little more refined — the KOA has a cabin for everyone.
They have them and they have a gorgeous lakefront location. Glamping never looked so good!

The lake trail is a great place to relax and enjoy the lowcountry environment alongside the lake. The 1.5 mile trail circles the 30-acre lake with sweeping water views nearly all the way around.
But for those days when you actually feel like checking out the area, Mt. Pleasant has an endless list of things to do.
You'll love exploring this historic plantation located in Mt. Pleasant. The entrance has a tunnel of trees that's perfect for keepsake photos of your vacation.
