This Upcoming South Carolina Bulbapalooza Belongs On Your Short List For Spring
Few people realize that over in the PeeDee region of the Palmetto State there’s a hidden garden that’s only open to the public on rare occasions. Bulbapalooza is one of those incredible rare occasions and takes place for a mere two days at Moore Farms Botanical Garden – a private, not-for-profit, 65-acre garden in Lake City.
As mentioned, most have never even heard of Moore Farms Botanical Garden in Lake City. However, after a visit during the peak of bulb blooming season, you won't soon forget this enchanted oasis.
More than 40,000 bulbs are planted early in the season and by the time Bulbapalooza arrives on March 15-16, 2019, they will be lighting up the landscape with color! (The event continues the following weekend, March 22-23, 2019.)
If you're new to the Palmetto State (or just not very familiar with the PeeDee region), Lake City is easily accessible from just about everywhere. It's right on U.S. 378.
Bulbapalooza takes place March 15-16, and March 22-23, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moore Farms Botanical Garden at 100 New Zion Rd., Lake City, SC 29560. The event is free. Learn more at this link on the official website of Moore Farms Botanical Garden.
Spring is a lovely time to explore gardens! Be sure to also check out this little-known public garden adjacent to the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia!
