The Magical Annual Event That’s So Perfectly South Carolina
Forty seven years ago this May, some folks on the fringe of a wilderness area known as Hell Hole Swamp got together and created an annual event they called the Hell Hole Swamp Festival. That was back in 1971, and life in this part of South Carolina just hasn’t been the same ever since.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
There’s no other event like it. Have you heard of the Hell Hole Swamp Festival, or have you experienced this magical event firsthand? We’d love to know.
