But don't discount Fripp Island as too exclusive for a stay-cation. The Island has much to offer with activities the entire family will enjoy.
There are no big hotels or expensive resort lodges. If you want to spend any time on Fripp, you'll need to rent a villa or one of the many private homes available for family vacations.

Guests at the Fripp Island Resort will also discover plenty of opportunities to gawk at wildlife. Spend the morning, afternoon, or evening watching dolphins in the creek and just offshore in the Atlantic. Plus, more than 175 species of birds are commonly spotted on this island paradise.
Nature lovers also enjoy the Audubon Trail. Fripp Island's 3,000 acres of wildlife sanctuary make the perfect classroom for reconnecting with nature among the lush, green foliage of a well-maintained path.
South Carolina's most exclusive island resort is actually very down to earth and worth checking out whenever you want to escape the crowds at other island destinations.
