The Upcoming Peach Festivals Celebrate The Very Essence Of South Carolina, So Save The Date
Did you know South Carolina is the second largest peach producer in the country (behind California)? It’s true. And while our neighboring friends in Georgia lay claim to moniker of the Peach State, peaches are the very essence of the South Carolina. So it stands to reason we’d have a peach festival (or four) each and every year to celebrate the sweet goodness of not only the harvest season, but also the beautiful period when the peach trees all over the state paint the landscape with bright blooms.
If you’ve never celebrated the peach, then get ready, South Carolina. You’ll have at least four chances to do so in the coming months with a variety peach festivals taking place in towns all over the state where peaches and peach growing are a way of life. Pick your favorite, or attend them all. Here’s what you need to know about each:
