The Nippitaty Distillery In South Carolina Is Now Making Hand Sanitizer For Locals Instead Of Gin

Sometimes a little alcohol can go a long way… especially when the state (and country) is experiencing a shortage of hand sanitizer. Knowing this, more than a handful of distilleries in South Carolina have begun to bottle more than spirits to help get us through the uncharted territory ahead. One of them, Nippitaty Distilley located in North Charleston, is stepping up to the plate with free hand sanitizer (it’s BYOB and available only on certain days of the week) for locals in need.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Know of another distillery in South Carolina that’s offering free hand sanitizer or of another business that’s changed its products in response to the pandemic? Tell us about it here and be sure to leave a comment below to spread the word! For hours of operation or to learn more about Nippitaty Distillery, visit the official website.
