Daufuskie Island Distillery In South Carolina Is One Of Only Two Island Distilleries In The Country

For a day trip of epic proportions, head to Daufuskie Island in South Carolina to check out the Daufuskie Island Distillery (a.k.a. Daufuskie Island Rum Company). Opened in 2013, this island distillery is one of only two island distilleries in the country. And building a distillery on an island with no bridge connecting it to the mainland was no piece of cake.
