If indoor activities just aren’t in your wheelhouse with this beautiful weather lately, then why not take a little drive to the coast to meet some adorable baby goats on a charming goat farm on Johns Island?
Located approximately 25 minutes outside of Charleston, The Goatery is home to a trip of goats (also called a tribe) that will win your heart in seconds.
The larger picture here is The Goatery is a sanctuary for goats within a dairy farm that specializes in artisan goat cheeses and milk, among other products that are sold locally in stores.
Delving even further into the mystique of a goat dairy farm — where there are billy goats and nanny goats... there will obviously be plenty of baby goats.
Take the 60-minute tour of the farm and you'll get to enter the green pasture to meet the billies and nannies and then...
As part of the tour, you'll get to bottle-feed a baby goat, also known as a kid , for those not up on farm or goat lingo.
What could be more fun and provide memories you (and your own own kids ) will cherish for years to come?
The tour costs $20 per person and lasts approximately one hour. The terrain on a farm can be rough so you'll want to dress accordingly (including sensible footwear). And it's best to wear clothes you won't mind getting dirty.
