Everyone In South Carolina Must Visit This Epic Farmers Market At Least Once
It’s May and that means most of the seasonal Farmers Markets in South Carolina are now kicking off their summer/fall season. Farmers Markets provide hours of enjoyment for the entire family all around the state each week.
The Saturday Market in downtown Greenville is no exception. Their season kicks off this Saturday, May 4, 2019 and runs through October. This is one market in the Palmetto State that’s a must.
Firstly, it's right in the heart of beautiful downtown Greenville.
It's not on a fairgrounds somewhere, or tucked into a Walmart parking lot (not that there's anything wrong with markets at those locations)...it's right on Main Street in one of the most up-and-coming cities in the state.
Each Saturday, May 4 to October 26 from 8:00 a.m. until noon you'll basically find a full-on street festival. Complete with live music...
Among the farms they went to was the Hyders Farm at Hogback in Campobello, South Carolina. Hyders Farm is a new vendor this year. They have over 200 peach trees growing 15 varieties of peaches right on their beautiful South Carolina farm, shown above. You'll find them this season at Saturday Market in Greenville!
The Saturday Market always has live music, plus special plenty of fun events like a food truck rally they've scheduled this year in July.
Greenvilles TD Saturday Market presented by GHS is located on S Main Street at East McBee Avenue. The market is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until noon, May 4 to October 26, 2019.
This is one of the biggest and best Farmers Markets in South Carolina. Have you had the chance to go yet? We’d love to hear about your experience in our comments. And as always, if you’d like to kindly recommend your own favorite farmers market in the Palmetto State feel free to!
If you’re headed to the Upstate just for this market, you could add on a side trip to see the state’s only restored covered bridge, or take a leisurely hike around the lake at Paris Mountain State Park. Both are not far from downtown Greenville.
