There’s A BBQ Train Ride Happening In South Carolina And It’s As Delicious As It Sounds

South Carolina’s only scenic passenger train is once again hosting BBQ dinner trains this summer – and it’s never too early to get your tickets, since these special dinner trains sell out quickly. The train, pulled by a diesel locomotive, is located at the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winnsboro, where you’ll not only get to ride in a historic train, you’ll get to tour the museum and many historic cars in its collection.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

The 2018 BBQ train dates are July 14, August 11, September 8, and October 13. Get tickets early, before they sell out. Tickets are $30 for ages 13 and over, $25 for ages 2-12.

The South Carolina Railroad Museum is located at 110 Industrial Park Rd., Winnsboro, SC 29180. The museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Learn more and purchase tickets on the official website of South Carolina Railroad Museum.
