As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
As much as parents love their kids, there just are those times when you may want or need to get away without them. Or perhaps you don’t have children and would like a place to stay overnight that is geared toward adults. Though they are few and far between, there are some of those types of spots in our state, including an adults-only inn in South Carolina that we found for you to consider the next time you’re seeking much-needed peace and quiet.
Folly Beach is the closest beach to downtown Charleston and known as a mecca of sorts for those who enjoy surfing, fishing, and the laid-back lifestyle.
This bed and breakfast inn offers nine luxurious rooms and a suite, each with a king-sized bed, a private bathroom, and a private screened porch or open-air balcony.
The Inn also offers yoga, a complimentary golf cart shuttle that runs daily, making beach trips a breeze, cornhole boards and other games, free Wifi, a daily breakfast, and happy hour.
Event spaces are also available for weddings or other types of events. This stunning space, the Grant Bay, located on the ground level right outside of the Inn offers the perfect space for hosting up to 150 guests, available for up to five hours. (Tent not included.)

South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
