Here Are The 10 Poorest Cities In South Carolina
Have you ever wanted to know, maybe out of just plain old curiosity, which cities or counties in South Carolina are the poorest ones? Do you believe you may have an idea? I don’t know about that! When I was doing this list a few of them took me quite by surprise. Here are the 10 poorest cities/counties in South Carolina.

This is one of those that surprised me. Did it surprise you? The median income here is $32,549.

Colleton has a median income of $31,718.

Chesterfield is another one that surprised me, but it has a median income of $31,279.

Bamberg is on the smaller side of towns here in South Carolina so it didn't surprise me when I found the median income was $31,015.

Marion is an amazing small town that is loaded with history, but their median income is $30,562.

Marlboro County runs along the border of South Carolina and North Carolina. This county has a median income of $28,612.

Lee has a median income of $27,755.

Dillon is a beautiful town and one of the towns in South Carolina that has a lot of history. Unfortunately they have a median income of $26 668.

Allendale has always been known as one of our more lower income towns with a mean income of just $25,966.

Williamsburg is unfortunately #1 on our list of poorest cities/counties in South Carolina with a median income of just $25,174.
