You Can Hike To This Picture Perfect Rhode Island Vineyard & Winery
As Spring approaches, there’s a unique way to explore the natural beauty of Aquidneck Island and be treated to a glass of local wine at the same time. Aquidneck Land Trust’s Sakonnet Greenway Trail connects through Newport Vineyards, so you can take a gorgeous hike or enjoy some birdwatching, then enjoy an enchanting local vineyard.

There's a gorgeous trail right here in Rhode Island that leads you directly to the grapevines.

Their goal was to create a natural greenway across the island by permanently conserving land. Currently, they have saved 2,580 acres or more than 10.5% of Aquidneck Island.

Connected to the Middletown Northern Loop of the trail is Newport Vineyards.

Relax with a lovely glass of local wine, a light meal at their cafe, or dinner at Brix Restaurant.

Their culinary philosophy is to serve locally sourced food and memorable experiences.

Newport Vineyards grows the grapes and creates their delicious wines on site.

Newport Vineyards is located at 909 East Main Road in Middletown.

You can do the full 10 miles, or choose from several different loops. Enter the trail at Linden Lane in Portsmouth, and Brahmans Lane or East Main Road in Portsmouth.
