While lovely towns and cities are scattered across Little Rhody, many locals would agree that the truly unique places are the small villages found in often overlooked areas. Seeing as there simply aren’t that many towns to choose from to begin with, it comes as no surprise that small pockets of amazing boutiques, restaurants, and unique attractions would spring forward in the shape of wonderful villages. One in particular has gained popularity for it’s charming culture and unique history.
Pawtuxet Village is found between the cities of Warwick and Cranston where the Pawtuxet River flows into the Providence River and Narragansett Bay.
The town gains its name from the series of small waterfalls viewable from the heart of the village. "Pawtuxet" means Little Falls in the language used by the natives of this section of the state.
